Last month, Faith Evans was popped by police for driving under the influence in Los Angeles. Well yesterday, the L.A. City Attorney filed the case and has charged Evans with two counts of misdemeanor DUI. Her arraignment is set for September 16. If found guilty, Evans faces six months in jail. Damn. Let's pray she keeps the faith because she has an album and reality show dropping soon.

An Associated Press article quoted Ne-Yo on the TI/Tiny arrest saying:  

 

"I just feel that he makes a lot of poor decisions when it comes to the people that he surrounds himself with. "

The article alleges that Ne-Yo also said that he's not familiar with the company T.I. surrounds himself with, but he pointed out that 9 times out of 10 when he gets in trouble, it's not him, it's the people that he's with.

Well a few folks got bent out of shape.  And then Ne-Yo said his words were taken out of context.   So he took to twitter to explain:

It's about time something was finally said! Last night Fox finally made a formal announcement: Kara DioGuardi will not be returning to 'American Idol.' Kara released a statement:

"I felt like I won the lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol," said DioGuardi Friday. "I am very proud to have been associated with American Idol — it has truly been an amazing experience."

Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are still rumored to be the two new judges who will join the only original 'American Idol' judge remaining, Randy Jackson. Here's what 'American Idol' producer Nigel Lythgoe said about the upcoming season:

"We will be bringing the spotlight back onto the talent and away from the judges. I think that's really very important, especially when you lose such a superb judge as Simon Cowell. You need to move the spotlight off him very quickly! But in truth, we've forgotten that it's the talent that drives the program at the end of the day."

If Steven and Jennifer do become judges, that seems very unlikely, but I guess we'll have to wait and see!

'Twilight' star Taylor Lautner stood his ground: he refused to participate in a push-up contest, after an RV company failed to deliver his $300,000 RV for his trailer while he was filming the movie 'Abduction,' and the compay has agreed to pay him $40,000 for it, according to UsMagazine.com.

"McMahon's RV has agreed to settle its dispute with Taylor Lautner. McMahon's RV will pay $40,000 to Lautner, which Lautner will donate to The Lollipop Theater Network, a children's charity with which he has a long-standing relationship," Lautner's attorney Robert Barta tells UsMagazine.com exclusively.

Adds Barta: "The Lollipop Theater Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing movies currently in theaters to children confined to hospitals due to chronic or life-threatening illnesses. The Lollipop Theater Network works with hospitals nationwide, including the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas."

Someone close to Taylor also made it clear that the actor never claimed "emotional distress" or anything like that.

"This was never a suit about money. It was to hold someone accountable," the insider says. "Taylor never ordered a customized RV -- it was a used RV which needed simple safety-related repairs. There was never any diva behavior. 'Emotional distress' is an automatic checked box on a fraudulent claim."

Isn't it great to see how Nicole Richie has grown up since her days as Paris Hilton's sidekick in 'The Simple Life' and party girl extraordinaire? The former reality TV personality gave a candid interview to UK InStyle.

"People ask me, do I blame Hollywood or my parents?" she tells InStyle U.K. of her past troubles in its October issue. "No, I don't blame my parents. It had nothing to do with them. I created it and manifested it, and I got myself through it with the help of a lot of great people.

"One thing about me is that I've always taken responsibility for my own actions, whether they're good or bad," she says. "Even when I was going through my tough time, that was a situation that I created."

LOVE her! People so often seem to confuse explanations (like, I developed this habit because when I was a kid this was what happened) with excuses (it's not my fault I do this because this happened when I was a child).

It's great to see Nicole hasn't made that mistake. She's going to be a great role model for her kids.
